• AUs! The odder scenario you manage to keep the original theme the better - space, steampunk, coffee shop, high school, futuristic, cowboys, just let your mind take you on a magical journey.


• Retellings! Switch character places. Change location. Change time.


• What happened before or what happened next - love those.


• Sex/gender flips.

What I do not want: Non-con, incest, underage, child murder. These are all present in fairy-tales so I had to make sure you knew.

Okay, so like, Death is just sure, I'll be this dude's godfather. And then kills him. Because he done fucked up.

Now, I don't have godparents - my siblings do but I was unbaptized, and I notice they do stuff with them like gifts and (and my parents made uni funds for their godson) so I'm like, clearly there is something to this godparent/child relationship and this story intrigues me more.

• Has Death had any other God-children?


• Did Death diss God and the Devil for getting passed over?


• Did Death regret what went down?


• Is there an afterlife? I'm just asking for the main couple here.


• What is Death like when he's teaching you how to become a famous doctor?


• Or what is Death like with kids?


• How does Death feel about killing his godson deliberately?

Fandom: Jungfrau Maleen | Maid Maleen (Fairy Tale)
Character: Maid Maleen (Maid Maleen)

MAN. THIS TALE. There's a lot going on here. I feel sympathy for the ugly princess, even though she's a real dick, and the whole thing about Maleen in her tower with her waiting-maid, and the end of her father's kingdom. There's a lot of moving pieces in this story. I don't mind the prince, but I also care the least about him so I'm perfectly happy to get a story with him but if nothing comes to you about him, I'm totally fine with it.

• WHAT did Maid Maleen do to keep from going mad in the darkness with her waiting-maid?


• What happened to the waiting-maid after they ended up at the castle?


• What's it like seeing sunlight and moonlight after seven years in the dark?


• What do nettles taste like?


• What's it like working around people again after 7 years with just one other person?


• What happened to her father's kingdom exactly? Does she ever get filled in? Any vengeance? Any lingering enemies?


• What if she and the ugly princess had NOT been getting the other killed?


• So like how bad was her first sunburn after getting out?


• What odd habits did she pick up in seclusion where no one could see her?

Fandom: La Belle et la Bête | Beauty and the Beast
Character: La Bête | The Beast (La Belle et la Bête)

I have not read the Madame LePrince version, which I apologize for. I know the Perrault version best. Now, I adore Beauty (what a big family she has! What a situation she finds herself in!) but in this request I wish to focus on the Beast. As well as the fact that while I know that 'Bête' is just a feminine word and that's why they use La, but what if the Beast WAS feminine? And things like that.

• Genderswap Beast (and Beauty if you want to) to see how that affects things


• What happened to Beast's family?


• Does Beast get a reckoning with the fairy?


• Is Beast responsible for those beautiful roses? What sort of gardener is a Beast?


• What if a different kind of love saved Beast?

• What if Beauty's family had more to do with her while she was living with Beast? Like a dinner party or something.

Fandom: Prinsessen i kisten | The Princess in the Coffin

I would be so totally okay with horror for this one.

• Man, so like, she eats those guys, doesn't she. Doesn't she.


• Her dad had ONE JOB. ONE JOB. How does she feel about this?


• What's it like being in a coffin and cursed? How do you pass the time between horrific murders?


• What's it like after she's free?


• What would this be like in a modern setting?


• What was the motivation of the uneaten guy's helper?

Fandom: Fairy Ointment - Joseph Jacobs

No character for this one, even though Dame Goody is in the tagset. You can use her if you want!

• What is the fairyworld like?


• What is unexpectedly fairy?


• How would Dame Goody have gone on to rescue other fairy slaves?


• Is it a lot like They Live this whole fairy vision thing?


• If we go the Dame Goody route, her fairy eye ends up blinded. So what happens if typical fairy-tale shenanigans end with her getting a new eye, like made from a witch's eye or a diamond or something. Dame Goody: I CAN SEE YOU the revenge

Fandom: Der Rattenfänger von Hameln | The Pied Piper of Hamelin (Fairy Tale)
Characters: Rattenfänger | Pied Piper

I read a thing that said the Pied Piper is essentially a story about how strangers are dangerous. What I call it is a story about why you should pay up to services rendered.

• What happened to the kids in the sense of something NOT HORRIBLE because I think a story with a bunch of dead kids would make me sad.


• Do the kids get to come back?


• What is the Pied Piper?


• Can he get things other than rats and children to follow him?


• What are other careers he's considered?


• What about a heroic narrative where he doesn't steal a fuckload of children?


• You can totally feel free to tie this one to the Fairy Ointment story.


• How do you become a magical piper?


• Hey maybe the pied piper is a cursed princess okay just throwing that out there because of my other nominations.

Fandom: Les Fées | Diamonds and Toads - Charles Perrault

How much of a gift is it to have flora and rocks coming out of your mouth when you try to speak? It reminds me of my recurring nightmare about my teeth falling out of my mouth. With that mental image, let's move onto the prompts.

• This particular fairy/witch really likes mouth blessings/curses. What else has she come up with? Has anyone tried to have a talk with her?


• How weird could this get?


• Do you think the bad sister sometimes spits out something really gross and throws it at her and then she's like, fine, and throws back a giant diamond and then there's a weird toad/diamond throwing fight?


• Does her sister decide to live a quiet life of contemplation and herpetology? (Not in the sense of that Ursula Vernon story, which is excellent) Okay YES the story says she went to go live in a corner of the woods and then died but stuff could have happened in-between.


• Does she talk in her sleep?


• Does she crash the economy?


• What's it like at dinner parties?


• Does her mother end up with her own mouth curse to round out the trio?


• It would be nice to see the prince liking her for more than her ability to generate riches too.


• Hey does she find a better parental figure in her new life?
